About Bass Lake Campground

Bass Lake Campground sits on Southern Road near Lyndon Station, about six miles from Wisconsin Dells, and pitches itself as a quieter, budget-minded base for the Dells area. Campsites are extra large and wooded, each with a fire ring and picnic table, set around Bass Lake and the smaller Bluegill Pond.

Water is the main draw. You can swim in the natural lake or in the campground pool, fish Bass Lake and Bluegill Pond, and take out paddleboats, rowboats or canoes. On land there is a children's play area, horseshoes, volleyball and basketball, a recreation pavilion and an entertainment center, and hiking trails are nearby. A general store carries ice and RV supplies, and the campground has a laundromat and free showers.

For 2026, basic tent sites were $53 a night and electric or pull-through sites $57 to $62. Rental cabins sleeping four or six and a family trailer unit are available for those without gear, and lakeside seasonal sites are offered too. Quiet, well-behaved pets are welcome on a leash, but not in buildings or rentals, on the beach or in the water.

New Life Lavender & Cherry Farm is just off the US 12 bypass at Baraboo, about 25 minutes south, so lavender fields in early summer fit easily into a camping stay here.
