About Birch & Maple
Birch & Maple is a chef-owned restaurant on Main Street in Frankfort, across from the bayside park where the farmers market sets up. Chef Natalie Crawford runs the kitchen and Nick Crawford runs the front of the house; they opened it in 2018 after renovating the building.
Everything is made from scratch, with no added flavors, colors or preservatives. Mornings bring brunch; the original menu was built around dishes like chicken and waffles and short-rib eggs benedict. Dinner leans on seasonal plates such as porcini-rubbed beef tenderloin, a tomahawk pork chop, crispy walleye and a cherry and kale salad, with small plates like short rib croquettes to share.
The bar mixes hand-crafted cocktails with house-made syrups and fresh-squeezed juice. Outside, the patio looks over the harbor and has an outdoor fireplace for cool evenings. As posted in fall 2026, brunch runs 9 to 2 most days and dinner 5 to 9 on Friday through Tuesday; Thursday is brunch only. A waitlist can be joined online.
Cherry Hill Lavender Farm is about 10 minutes away. Visit the farm's Wednesday afternoon hours in fall, or book a time on other days, and finish with dinner here on the bay.
