About Boss Cider Company

Boss Cider Company is a family-owned cidery and restaurant on Main Street in downtown Leslie, a small town between Jackson and Lansing. It was built as a cozy place where locals and visitors can share a drink and a meal, and its own motto puts food at the heart and cider at the soul of the place. The bar runs 28 taps of handmade hard cider and beer, along with wine, seltzer and the occasional mead. One house cider, King's To You, blends apple with blood orange.

The full kitchen covers a lot of ground: shareable plates like cheese curds and wings, soups and salads, wraps and sandwiches, burgers, flatbreads, entrées such as fish and chips, and desserts. There are gluten-free buns, wraps and flatbread crust for a small upcharge, several vegetarian plates, and a kids' menu for ages 12 and under with grilled cheese, chicken bites and small pizzas. On weekends the doors open at 10 AM for brunch.

Reservations can be made through their website, and there is a mug club for regulars. The events page lists what's coming up, and you can contact them about the current tap list or food offerings. Evenings start at 4 PM Tuesday through Friday, and it's closed Mondays.

Hamlett Lavender Farm near Pinckney is about 50 minutes east. It opens its Lavender Shed by appointment and holds a few events a year, so check its page and plan Boss Cider as the meal stop on the way.
