About Agricole Farm Stop

Agricole Farm Stop works like a farmers market that never closes for the season. Since opening in 2019 in the redeveloped Mack Building on North Main Street in downtown Chelsea, it has partnered with more than 180 local vendors and, by its own running count, returned more than $7.6 million to them. The shelves hold Michigan vegetables and orchard fruit, pasture-raised meat, eggs, grass-fed dairy, bread, pasta, pantry goods and grab-and-go meals, along with fresh flowers, soap and body care, and work by local artisans.

Part of the room is a coffeehouse with an espresso bar using beans from a regional roaster, plus chai, matcha, kombucha and teas from an Ann Arbor tea company. The fall menu adds an apple chaider, a salted maple matcha and a lavender blueberry matcha. Pastries come from bakeries in Chelsea, Ann Arbor, Jackson and Fenton. Agricole does not cook on site, so prepared foods are made by local partners.

The calendar stays busy. In September and October 2026 it listed chef-run breakfast and lunch pop-ups, a build-your-own-bouquet morning with a local flower farm, the opening of a group show in the rotating art gallery, vintage clothing and record sales, and a community chess night. The store is open every day: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends, closed on major holidays.

Plainly Elegant Lavender Farm on West Waters Road is about 18 minutes east of Chelsea and holds booked U-pick sessions Thursday through Sunday in June and July. Pick up coffee and picnic food here first, then spend the morning among the lavender.
