About Hamlett Lavender Farm
Hamlett Lavender Farm is a small countryside farm on Stinchfield Woods Road outside Pinckney, in the lake country between Ann Arbor and Brighton. The fields are modest in size, and everything in the farm shop is made in small batches from lavender grown there. Regina, who runs the farm, also serves on the board of the Michigan Agritourism Association.
The Lavender Shed is the farm's shop and opens by appointment only, so call or email before you drive out. The farm keeps its events simple and few: a seasonal planting day, walks through the rows when the lavender blooms, and a cozy workshop. The big day of the year is the Annual Lavender Extravaganza, the season opener and farm anniversary; in 2026 it ran June 27 from 11 AM to 4 PM at $10 per car, with U-pick lavender, the shed open, demonstrations, make-your-own lavender lemonade, lavender treats, local vendors and live music. A Mother's Day Tea was held on Saturday, May 9, 2026.
From the shed you can buy lavender soap, bath salts, lotions, a calendula and peppermint healing salve, sugar scrub, face oil, lip balm and sachets. The farm also bakes to order: lavender sugar cookies, seasonal caramel corn and a triple berry lavender spread, ordered ahead by email.
Schell Family Farm, about 10 minutes away on Dexter-Pinckney Road, is the place to come back to in fall for apples, pumpkins, wagon rides and cider.
