About Lavender Lane Farm
Lavender Lane Farm is the work of Joe and Courtney, a husband-and-wife team who started growing lavender outside Milan in 2016. The farm on Plank Road now has more than 10,000 plants in shades of purple, white and pink, and the couple grow, harvest and distill their own crop to make more than 80 small-batch products, from shampoo, lotion and soap to home goods.
Peak bloom here lasts through July. The Farm Shop on Plank Road opens only in June and July, Thursday through Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM and Sunday from noon to 4 PM, and leashed pets are welcome during those regular farm hours. U-pick season begins with the Lavender Harvest Festival, held the weekend after the Fourth of July. The 10th annual festival is set for July 10 and 11, 2027, from 10 AM to 6 PM, at $10 per person with kids 12 and under free and parking on 15 acres included.
Festival days bring U-pick lavender, more than 50 artisan vendors, food trucks, lavender lemonade, photo spots with props in the fields, face painting and henna, and a petting farm with pony rides. The rest of the year, Lavender Lane on Main at 12 E. Main in downtown Milan sells the farm's goods, open Tuesday through Saturday 10 AM to 4 PM and Sunday noon to 4 PM. Look for lavender simple syrup, culinary lavender, goat's milk soap, linen and body spray, and items for kids and pets.
Wasem Fruit Farm on Judd Road, about 10 minutes away, has U-pick tart cherries in summer and apples, cider and fresh donuts in fall.
