About Cape Cod Lavender Farm
Cape Cod Lavender Farm has been growing lavender off Weston Woods Road in Harwich since 1995, when the family opened by inviting local Cape Codders to its harvest. The farm covers 11 secluded acres with more than 7,000 plants and is ringed by about 75 acres of conservation land with quiet woodland walking trails. Three generations now tend it, and the farm welcomes more than 10,000 visitors a year.
The farm is open March through December, Monday to Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM and Sunday from noon to 4 PM. There are no tickets and no admission fee. Bloom typically runs from late June into early July, and staff harvest from late June to mid-July, selling fresh bunches first and dried bunches after until they run out. Summer is the busy season and parking can be tight at peak times; spring and fall bring quieter visits. The farm grows a long list of varieties, from Munstead, Vera and Jean Davis to Phenomenal, Provence and Grosso.
Beyond the rows, the Enchanted Garden, expanded in 2013, hides a shade garden, a miniature stone castle and small faerie houses for children to find. The gift shop carries more than 20 lavender products, including a lavender soy candle that has been a bestseller for over 25 years, sachets, body butter, lavender essential oil and hydrosol. Dogs are not allowed, there is no restroom, and the farm asks guests not to picnic, though a couple of food spots are within half a mile.
Chatham is about 15 minutes east for an overnight stay.
