About Nauset House Inn

Nauset House Inn is a family-run bed and breakfast in East Orleans, set in a farmhouse built around 1810 and surrounded by apple trees about a century old. The same family has owned and run it since the early 1980s. Nauset Beach, part of the Cape Cod National Seashore with roughly 10 miles of Atlantic shoreline, is a short walk away.

There are 14 guest rooms. Nine are in the main farmhouse, three with private baths and six that share baths, one shared bath per floor, and robes are provided. Four larger rooms with private baths and sitting areas are in the Carriage House a short walk away. Rooms are decorated with hand-painted furniture, stenciling and painted trompe l'oeil walls.

A full breakfast is included each morning in the brick-floored dining room with its open hearth and beamed ceiling. The innkeepers help guests choose and book restaurants around the Cape. The inn welcomes guests 12 and older, rooms are for two people, and it is non-smoking. It is open seasonally; the 2026 season ran from May 8 through October 17.

Cape Cod Lavender Farm in Harwich is about 20 minutes southwest. In late June and July, stay at the inn, spend the morning at Nauset Beach and the afternoon in the lavender fields.
