About Dutch Oven Bakery
Dutch Oven Bakery sits on US-31 in Alanson, on the stretch between Petoskey and the Straits, and has been baking for northern Michigan since 1933. Everything comes out of the ovens fresh each day.

Lavender Hill Farm near Boyne City is about 35 minutes southwest. Lavender Hill Farm on Horton Bay Road North is free to walk on your own daily from 10 to 5 during its 2026 season (May 6 to late October), with u-cut lavender after peak bloom in July and a boutique and tasting room. Pick up cinnamon bread here on the way down and you have a picnic for the fields.
