About Farrington's Farm
Farrington's Farm has been selling farm produce at Farrington Gurney, between Bristol and Bath, since 2001. Today it is a full family day out: a farm shop with its own potatoes and local food and drink, a butchery counter, a deli of cheeses and snacks, a café, an indoor tractor-themed soft play barn, and an outdoor farm park that has just been revamped with new play equipment and all-weather surfacing.
October is the big month. In 2026 pumpkin picking runs on 10, 11, 17 and 18 October and every day from 23 to 31 October, across about 20 acres growing more than 50 kinds of pumpkins, squash and gourds. Tickets must be bought in advance for a set arrival slot (under-2s go free), and pumpkins are paid for separately with no limit on how many you take. The ticket covers the patch, themed displays, the Witch's Wood with a flaming cauldron, a carving marquee and parking; marshmallows, carving kits and the pop-up funfair cost extra.
The rest of the year the café serves breakfast from 9am to 11:30am and lunch from noon to 3pm, using seasonal ingredients, and a Snack Shack opens outside on good-weather days. The shop, café, play barn and farm park keep the same hours, Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday 9am to 4pm. Entry to the farm park is free in 2026, with the farm asking visitors to buy food and drink on site.
Somerset Lavender at Faulkland is about 6 miles southeast, roughly 15 to 20 minutes by car, so a summer morning in the play barn can finish among the lavender.
