About Fort Hill Farms

Fort Hill Farms is a working family dairy on Quaddick Road in Thompson, in Connecticut's northeast corner, where Kies, Jared and Kristin milk more than 200 cows. Alongside the barns there are gardens with lavender, a pumpkin patch, and space for nature walks, fishing and picnics.

The big draw in late summer and fall is the corn maze. The 2026 design honors the 250th anniversary of the United States: the main Star-Spangled Maze takes about 90 minutes and suits ages 8 and up, and the smaller 1776 Maze takes about half an hour. On Flashlight Nights you can walk the maze from sunset to closing. Pick-your-own pumpkins fill out the fall season.

The Farmer's Porch, a farm stand next to the family home a few steps from the dairy barn, sells products from area makers such as soap, maple syrup, honey, bread and puddings, along with dairy items. Kristin, who goes by Mrs. Botany, also leads guided nature walks for a fee, and group rates are available for the maze.

The Upton Flower Kitchen is about 35 minutes northeast across the Massachusetts line. Combine a summer or early fall flower stop there with an afternoon in the maze and a farm stand visit here.
