About Oxley Estate Winery
Oxley Estate Winery is a 38-acre estate in the small hamlet of Oxley, on the north shore of Lake Erie south of Harrow and east of Colchester. The vines grow in sandy loam over a limestone ridge, with long sunny days and lake breezes, and the winery holds Ontario sustainable winegrowing certification.
The grounds are the reason to linger: three large patios, two gardens, and a 60-foot open-air Vinehouse covered in vines that keeps the space cool in summer. The north and south patios have fireplaces for cooler evenings, and indoor seating and the wine shop are in a renovated 1920s-style barn with big windows. Tastings run daily from 11 am; groups of up to seven can walk in, while larger groups book ahead.
The restaurant serves daily from 11 am, until 8 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and reservations are seated on the covered patio. From May to October 2026, Sunday Sounds brings live music from 1 to 5 pm, and Howl at the Moon dinners pair food, wine and music with a garden stroll under the full moon, including a Hunter's Moon dinner on October 26. Only service animals are allowed on the grounds.
Serenity Lavender Farm is about 10 minutes west along County Road 50. On a July day, see the lavender first and then come here for a long patio lunch.
