About Rowe's Produce Farm
Rowe's Produce Farm on Martz Road, on the Ypsilanti side of Belleville, is a summer and fall farm market built around home-grown bicolor sweet corn. For years it was one of the area's go-to strawberry patches, but after catastrophic weather in 2024 and 2025 the family announced in spring 2026 that it would no longer grow strawberries or raspberries for U-pick.
Peas took their place. In 2026 the farm offered U-pick sugar snap peas and English shelling peas, a short crop that usually starts in June and lasts one to two weeks, weather permitting. Picking hours are set once the peas are ready, so check the farm's email list or social pages, or call.
The farm market usually opens in mid-July when the sweet corn comes in and runs through October. In 2025 it was open weekdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 10 to 4 and Sundays from 11 to 4. The farm takes cash and credit cards. Because the website is not updated daily, the farm points visitors to its email list, called The List, for crop conditions.
Lavender Lane Farm near Milan is about 10 miles southwest, so a July lavender morning there can end with an armload of sweet corn here.
