About Tatamagouche Brewing Co.
Tatamagouche Brewing Co. is a family-owned brewery that turned an old butcher shop on Main Street into a community brewery in 2014. Its name and look come from a local story about a two-headed calf. The lineup ranges from Tata Lite Lager and the Instinct Farmhouse Pale Ale to the Grand Slammer Double IPA, Ebb & Flow IPA, a barrel-aged imperial stout and the Vintage Lane barrel-aged saison, plus seasonal releases, vodka and gin sodas and a non-alcoholic beer line.
The taproom is open year-round. Fall 2026 hours are Monday to Thursday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday and Saturday until 8 p.m. Seating is first come, first served. Guided tastings led by a Cicerone Certified Beer Server are offered by appointment, mostly on Saturdays, and include three 4-ounce samples of your choice.
There is no kitchen, so bring your own food or pick up takeout; food trucks visit on some Fridays. The taproom calls itself family-friendly and pet-friendly. Live music runs Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., trivia is Sunday at 3 p.m. through the fall, and Halloween brings an open mic and trick-or-treating on October 31. Private rentals and group bookings are available after hours.
Seafoam Lavender Company is about 15 minutes east along the shore road, so the brewery works as a village stop before or after a summer visit to the lavender gardens.
