About Triple fff Brewery

Triple fff has been brewing beer in Four Marks, just outside Alton, since 1997. The core range leans on traditional English styles: Alton's Pride best bitter, Moondance pale ale, Pressed Rat & Warthog dark mild and Black Velvet oatmeal stout, plus a Bohemian pilsner, a British lager and seasonal specials. The brewery sits on Station Approach, close to the Watercress Line heritage railway.

The taproom and shop, called Offf The Rails, opens every day: 4pm to 9pm on Monday and Tuesday, 4pm to 10:30pm Wednesday and Thursday, 1pm to 11pm Friday, noon to 11pm Saturday and noon to 9pm Sunday. Seating runs to booths, sofas and stools, and dogs, walkers and cyclists are all welcome. The shop opens Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm and Friday and Saturday 10am to 5pm.

Brewery tours run on selected Saturdays from 1:45pm to 3:15pm (listed dates for autumn 2026 are October 24, November 21 and December 12) at £20 a head. A guide walks you through the brewhouse, the malts and the hops, and the ticket includes three third-pints to sample. Private tours can be arranged by phone. There's a quiz on the first Wednesday of each month and an open mic night on the second Wednesday, and a combined tour and steam train ride is sold through the heritage railway.

The Lavender Fields near Alton is roughly 10 to 15 minutes away, so a summer lavender visit can end with a late-afternoon stop here.
