About Yorkshire Lavender
Yorkshire Lavender covers 60 acres on a slope in the Howardian Hills near Terrington, looking out over the Vale of York, and was started more than thirty years ago. The site combines themed gardens and lavender fields with a gift shop and tea room, and its own range uses pure lavender essential oil.
The 2026 season ran from 1 April to 31 August, with the gardens and shop open daily from 10am to 5pm. Lavender flowers in June, July and August and is cut in September. Garden entry in July and August 2026 was £6 for adults, £5.25 for concessions and £4.50 for children aged 3 to 16, with family tickets from £18.75; the shop and tea room are free to enter. Online tickets carry a time slot, but you can stay as long as you like.
Inside the gardens are a Lavender Maze, the winding Wibbly Wobbly Way path and a children's play area. EJ's Tea Room serves lavender and non-lavender bakes with gluten-free options, and picnics and afternoon teas can be pre-booked, or you can bring your own. In autumn the farm reopens for dahlia picking and pumpkin and dahlia picking from 24 to 30 October 2026, free entry 10am to 3pm, and Christmas wreath workshops run on 27 and 28 November 2026.
Kemps Farm at Barton-le-Street is about 15 minutes east toward Malton for a second farm stop.
