About Big Fish Grill
Big Fish Grill is a family-friendly seafood restaurant on Coastal Highway (Route 1) just outside downtown Rehoboth Beach. Brothers Eric and Norman Sugrue opened it in 1997 as a 90-seat restaurant, and it has grown into one of the busiest seafood rooms at the beach, picking up regional best-seafood awards in 2024, 2025 and 2026.
The menu mixes a raw bar with cooked seafood and a few sushi rolls. Look for baked crab dip, a homemade shrimp salad sandwich, salmon with a house salad, seabass and shrimp skewers, the Big Shrimp Penne and a dragon roll. Happy hour runs 4 to 6 pm at the bar and high tops.
The dining room opens at noon every day and stays open until 9 pm Sunday through Thursday and 9:30 pm on Friday and Saturday. It takes reservations, hosts private parties and catering, and runs a Thanksgiving buffet in season with lower prices for children.
Lavender Fields at Warrington Manor in Milton is about 20 minutes northwest. Spend a summer morning in the lavender gardens, then come back toward the coast for an early seafood dinner before the evening rush.
