The Clubhouse at Baywood is the restaurant in the clubhouse of Baywood Greens, a golf community on the Long Neck peninsula near Millsboro. The dining room looks out over the community's landscaped gardens and grounds, which are a big part of the appeal on a sunny day.
The menu leans on local seafood and steaks. Starters include pimento cheese crab dip, New England clam chowder, crispy calamari and jumbo shrimp cocktail, and mains run from Atlantic salmon and clams linguine to fish and chips, braised short ribs, St. Louis ribs and an 8-ounce filet. At lunch there is a crab cake sandwich and a wagyu double smash burger. A kids menu covers chicken tenders, grilled cheese, fish and chips, a cheeseburger and pasta.
It is open to the public seven days a week all year, 11 am to 8 pm Sunday through Thursday and until 9 pm on Friday and Saturday, with happy hour from 3 to 6 daily. Reservations and carryout are available. The clubhouse also hosts weddings, showers and other private events in rooms for 10 to 220 guests, and an outdoor veranda can be booked for groups.
Lavender Fields at Warrington Manor is about 20 minutes north. Walk the lavender gardens in the morning and come down to Long Neck for a late lunch with a garden view.
