About Jordan Vineyard & Winery
Jordan Vineyard & Winery has made just two wines since the 1970s: Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Russian River Valley Chardonnay. The winery sits on a 1,200-acre estate in Alexander Valley north of Healdsburg, and more than three-quarters of that land is kept as open space. The estate is certified sustainable and runs its own culinary garden, olive oil and beekeeping programs, all of which turn up on the plate during a visit. The dining room and terraces were redesigned in 2024.
Every visit is booked ahead; walk-ins are not accepted. Year-round, the Winery Tour & Tasting ($90, about 90 minutes, daily at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.) walks through the chateau before a seated food and wine pairing, and A Taste of Jordan ($60, 45 minutes, daily at 3 p.m.) pours current releases with olive oil and seasonal bites. From May through October, the three-hour Estate Tour & Tasting ($170, Thursday through Monday at 9:45 a.m.) drives out to remote corners of the property, and a $10 Social Hour on the chateau terrace runs late afternoons Thursday through Monday.
Jordan is an adults-only stop: all guests must be 21 or older, children and infants are not allowed on the property, and pets are not permitted except service animals. The kitchen can work around allergies and mobility needs with 48 hours' notice. Seasonal events include a fall harvest lunch, Halloween and holiday tours, and vineyard hikes listed on their events calendar.
Purple Hills Lavender Farm is also in Alexander Valley, about 15 minutes north. Book a morning tour at Jordan, then spend the afternoon walking the lavender rows and visiting the goats.
