About Killara Estate

Killara Estate is at the corner of the Warburton Highway and Sunnyside Road in Seville East, about an hour from Melbourne. The cellar door café looks out over the vines, the rolling hills of the Upper Yarra Valley and the mountain ranges beyond, and it is one of the more scenic places in the area to sit down for lunch.

The café and cellar door are open Wednesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can taste through the estate's ranges at the cellar door: the Estate wines, a sparkling range, the Palazzo wines and the Racers and Rascals label, which has tasting notes on their website. Lunch comes as either a set menu or an à la carte menu.

In winter (June to August) a log fire warms the dining room, and guests can ask for a table near the fire or by the windows for the view. There is also a large outdoor entertainment area. Bookings are made by email, and the estate also hosts special occasions and private events.

Warratina Lavender Farm in Wandin North is about 12 minutes west along the Warburton Highway, so the two pair well for a Yarra Valley day in the Southern Hemisphere summer.
