About Persephone Brewing Company
Persephone Brewing Company is a farm brewery on a working 11-acre farm on Stewart Road in Gibsons, where hops and vegetables grow alongside the brewhouse. It is a registered B Corp and has been named a Best for the World honoree. Besides beer, it makes cider and a hard seltzer called Aria, and it runs community projects such as food boxes and the Gibsons Public Market.
Hours shift with the seasons. From May 1, 2026, the tasting room was open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. From the Labour Day long weekend it moved to 11 to 7 Sunday to Wednesday and 11 to 9 Thursday to Saturday. The kitchen keeps shorter hours, roughly noon until early evening, so check before arriving late for food. The brewery invites visitors to stop by for a tour of the farm, and its event calendar is posted on their website.
House rules are clear. You must be 19 or older to drink and ready to show two pieces of ID. Children are welcome with an adult, and leashed dogs are welcome in the outdoor areas. Growlers, cans and bottles may be opened only in the picnic areas, and the property is smoke-free. Growler fills are limited to 1-liter or 2-liter growlers.
Sunshine Coast Lavender is based in Sechelt, about 25 minutes up the coast. It sells its lavender soaps, sprays and jelly mainly through its website and local shops, so check there before planning a stop.
