About Roberts Farms
Roberts Farms sits on West 900 North outside Wawaka, about 15 minutes south of Shipshewana and 15 minutes west of Kendallville. Matt and Tracy Roberts run it with their daughter. They are first-generation farmers who came up through FFA, 4-H and Farm Bureau, and they raise goats along with row crops, hay and produce. Their signature attraction is an indoor hay maze that the family bills as the largest in Indiana.
The 2026 fall season runs September 12 through October 25. Activities happen on weekends only: Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 6 p.m. On weekdays from 4 to 6 p.m. there is no admission charge, and only the pumpkin patch and potted mums are open for shopping.
A weekend ticket opens up a long list of farm games: a corn maze, barrel train and hay wagon rides, a petting zoo with baby goats, a straw tower, a pumpkin jump pad, a giant slide, a storybook trail, a corn box and pedal trikes, plus apple cannons. Food trucks park on site and restrooms are available. The farm also books school field trips, and families planning a reunion or group outing can contact them.
Bloomfield Schoolhouse Lavender Farm & Apothecary in LaGrange is about 20 minutes northeast, so a fall Saturday can pair a morning in the maze with an afternoon browsing handmade lavender goods.
