About Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery

Spirit of Yorkshire makes Filey Bay single malt whisky from barley grown, using regenerative methods, on its own family farm near the Yorkshire coast. The distillery has now marked ten years of distilling, and alongside the core whisky it releases special bottlings and has even brewed an anniversary lager from the farm's barley. It stands about 0.2 miles from Hunmanby railway station, a few minutes' walk.

Tours run every day: Monday to Saturday at 11am, 1pm and 3pm, and Sunday at 11am and 1pm. The one-hour Daily Distillery Tour is listed at £17.50, a 1 hour 45 minute Deep Dive Tasting runs on Fridays and selected Saturdays for £32.50, and a three-hour Distillery and Brewery Tour costs £30 (prices as listed October 2026). Drivers can add a take-home Driver's Dram pack to their ticket.

The Pot Still Coffee Shop looks over the stills and serves breakfast, lunch, cakes and afternoon tea made in-house, with the distillery shop next door; both open 9:30am to 4pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 3pm on Sunday. Children over 6 can join tours with an adult at a reduced price but can't taste, and younger children are welcome in the café and visitor center. The distillery also runs live music, supper clubs and whisky tastings.

Woldies lavender farm at Wintringham is about 25 minutes inland, so a summer morning tour here pairs well with an afternoon among the lavender.
