About Squerryes Wine Estate
Squerryes is a family-owned estate outside Westerham with some 300 years of history, now making vintage English sparkling wine by the traditional method at its winery on Beggars Lane. Visits are built around booked tastings that change with the seasons, so the experience in summer, among ripening grapes, is quite different from a winter visit when the vines are dormant and the winery is working on the new vintage.
From April 1 to October 31, Harvest Tours and Tastings run on Thursdays at 11am, Fridays and Saturdays at 11am and 4pm, and Sundays at 11am. You walk through the vines, taste three vintage sparkling wines and hear the estate's history, for £40 a head. From November to March the estate switches to a one-hour guided tasting of four vintage sparkling wines on Fridays and Saturdays, also £40 (as listed for winter 2025–26).
For a longer visit, the winter tasting can be paired with a seasonal three-course set lunch in The Winery Restaurant for £75 a head. Private groups, or parties larger than six, can arrange visits at other times through the events team. Every experience must be booked in advance, and children under 12 can't join tours.
Castle Farm in Shoreham, a working lavender farm, is about 20 minutes northeast, and the Westerham Brewery taproom shares Beggars Lane, so you can plan a fuller day around the village.
