About Godstone Farm & Playbarn
Godstone Farm is a children's farm park about three minutes from junction 6 of the M25, built around animals and play. More than 500 animals live here, with daily hands-on animal sessions, a reptile house, a rabbit walk, a pond walk and a farm trail. A walking dinosaur trail adds something different between the animal pens.
Play is the other half of the day. The indoor play barn is large, with bouncing pillows and soft play on several levels, plus its own café; socks are required. Outside, an adventure playground has a toboggan run, ziplines, jumping pillows, sandpits and swings, though one small area is closed from September 2026 while equipment is upgraded. The farm opens daily from 10am to 4:45pm except Christmas Day and Boxing Day, staying open until 5:45pm in the summer holidays (23 July to 31 August 2026).
Seasonal events fill the calendar. Halloween runs from 17 October to 1 November 2026 with a mystery trail, face painting, crafts, a scarecrow maize, a pumpkin patch and marshmallows, and a mini fireworks festival takes place on 24 and 25 October 2026. Father Christmas visits follow in December, and peak dates sell out. Families can bring a picnic or eat at the Courtyard Kitchen, and parking is free. Accessibility is well thought through: there is a Changing Places toilet and a lift in the play barn, free carer tickets, and a quieter SEND play session on the first Saturday of each month.
Mayfield Lavender at Banstead is about 7 miles west, roughly 25 minutes by car, so a summer morning here can be followed by an evening walk through the lavender fields.
