About Schlafly Tap Room
The Schlafly Tap Room on Locust Street in downtown St. Louis is the downtown brewpub of Schlafly, which has brewed in St. Louis since 1991 and calls itself the founder of St. Louis craft beer. The brewery now turns out more than 70 styles, and the Tap Room is the place to try a wide run of them in one sitting.
The board changes with the seasons. A fall 2026 list included the light Shorty's lager, wheat and IPA, a raspberry hefeweizen, the original Pale Ale, Kölsch, Oktoberfest, an oatmeal stout, a sour beer aged on oak, two pumpkin ales and a classic hard cider. The kitchen serves a full restaurant menu of starters, soups, salads, sandwiches, entrées and desserts, and it closes at 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
The Tap Room is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m. Trivia night is Tuesdays at 7, and on St. Louis CITY SC match days the street outside fills for a supporters' party. Brewery tours are not held here: they run on Saturdays at Schlafly Bottleworks, the company's second brewery and restaurant in Maplewood, which also hosts a Full Moon Festival on November 7, 2026.
