About The Little Harbor
The Little Harbor is a large waterfront house in the village of Little Harbor, about six and a half miles north of downtown Sturgeon Bay and ten miles south of Egg Harbor. For about 25 years it ran as a bed and breakfast; today the whole property, about 8,000 square feet on a one-acre lot with 100 feet of shoreline and private woods, rents to a single group.
It suits family reunions, retreats and friends' weekends. There are eight hotel-style suites, each with a private bathroom, a fireplace and a door to a waterfront patio, and it sleeps up to 32 guests. Two living rooms and two full kitchens share the space, with a second-floor game room, a six-person hot tub, two fire pits and two grills.
The water is the reason to stay. A 40-foot concrete dock reaches into Sturgeon Bay, and the Adventure Shed holds kayaks, paddleboards, bikes and fishing gear, with snowshoes, sleds and ice-fishing gear for winter stays. Families with babies will find cribs, high chairs and a stroller, and dogs are welcome, with crates, beds and bowls provided; cats are not. Weddings and large events need prior approval.
Island Lavender, toward Baileys Harbor, is about 35 minutes north, so a group staying here can plan a summer outing to the lavender fields and be back on the dock for sunset.
