About 12 Corners Vineyards
12 Corners Vineyards farms a 115-acre estate about four miles from the Lake Michigan shore, where the lake keeps the vines a little warmer through spring and fall. A small group of friends who grew up in Michigan started the winery and named it for the Twelve Corners crossroads neighborhood. The vineyard grows both European and hybrid grapes, among them Riesling, Chardonnay, Traminette, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, and winemaker Glen Greiffendorf turns them into a long list that runs from dry to sweet, plus fruit and dessert wines, hard cider and non-alcoholic choices.
The Benton Harbor tasting room is open every day of the week, with a patio for sipping a glass or a bottle outdoors. In summer, a Saturday music series brings live performers to the vineyard; the 2026 season was billed as Music in the Vineyard. The estate also hosts weddings, and wine club members get their own appreciation events.
The winery describes itself as family friendly and says children are often on site with their parents. Groups of six to twelve should call ahead on weekdays; Saturdays are first come, first served at the bar, and parties larger than twelve can buy glasses or bottles for the patio instead of doing a tasting. Last call comes fifteen minutes before closing. 12 Corners also runs tasting rooms in South Haven and Grand Haven.
