About Lavender Bliss Flower Farm
Lavender Bliss Flower Farm is a family farm on a quiet, tree-lined road in Bridgman, a few miles inland from Lake Michigan. The couple who run it bought the property in 1979, raised three children there, and in 2021 began growing flowers for a roadside stand. Their big sandy field turned out to suit lavender, so they planted about 1,000 plants with help from their kids and a neighbor's tractor, and opened to visitors in 2023, the summer of their 50th wedding anniversary.
The farm grows 14 varieties, including Phenomenal, Grosso, Hidcote, Munstead, Royal Velvet and the pink and white Ellagance types. Visitors get a basket and shears to cut their own bundle, and pre-cut bundles are sold too. Cottage-style cutting gardens open around the end of June, priced by the stem, with supplies to carry your flowers home. The 2026 season opened Friday, May 29, with hours Wednesday through Sunday, 10 AM to 5 PM Eastern.
The gift shop sits in a refurbished grain bin and stocks sachets, hand-poured candles, handmade soap, whipped body butter, lip balm, bath salts and shower steamers, along with fresh lavender lemonade and seating in the field. The 2026 calendar ran Friday morning yoga in the lavender ($20, June 12 to August 7), distilling demonstrations Friday through Sunday from June 26 to July 31, a ladies' night on June 27 and a golden-hour harvest night on July 9. Children are welcome with close supervision, since this is a working farm.
Emma Hearth & Market on Red Arrow Highway is about five minutes away for wood-fired pizza and gelato after a morning in the field.
