About Transient Artisan Ales

Transient Artisan Ales began as a roving brewer of saisons and farmhouse ales and now has a taproom on Lake Street in Bridgman. Its beer is also distributed to shops across Michigan.

The tap list changes quickly. In September 2026 it held a spread of fruited sours, from the lingonberry and bilberry Smolverine series to versions made with watermelon, lime and hibiscus, along with Michigan IPAs, double dry-hopped double IPAs, an unfiltered German-style lager and an Australian-style dry-hopped pilsner. The barrel program is a highlight: imperial stouts aged in bourbon barrels and in maple apple brandy barrels. A gluten-free sour comes in cans, and hard seltzer and lager are also sold to go.

There is no kitchen. You are welcome to bring your own food, and the bar sells snacks such as pretzels, jerky and gluten-free chips. Leashed pets are welcome. Wednesday brings $2 off in-house can pours. Online orders can be picked up curbside, and a friend may collect your order if they bring your name and order number.

Lavender Bliss Flower Farm on Lange Road is only about five minutes away. In June and July, cut lavender there in the late morning, pick up lunch, and bring it to the taproom when it opens.
