About Briermere Farms
Briermere Farms is a fruit farm and bakery on Sound Avenue in Riverhead, at the western edge of Long Island's North Fork. Most of the fruit that goes into its pies is grown on the farm, and the crusts, fillings, breads, muffins, cookies, cakes, jams and jellies are all made from scratch on site; the bakery says it buys no premade fillings or ingredients.
The posted pie list for October 9, 2026 shows how long the board runs. Fruit pies included apple, peach, cherry, raspberry peach, strawberry rhubarb, blackberry apple, apricot, pear, cranberry pear and pumpkin, several also made as crisps, at $28 to $30. The cream and meringue side listed fresh fruit blueberry and strawberry cream pies at $45, plus raspberry, cherry and chocolate cream, lemon meringue and coconut meringue at $40 to $42.
Beyond pies there are date nut and banana nut breads, egg bread, pumpernickel and baguettes, corn and blueberry muffins, bagged cookies such as Linzer cookies with hazelnuts and flourless oatmeal hermits, apple tarts, scones, fruit squares and carrot cake. Jams, jellies, syrups, apple butter and honey can be shipped, but pies cannot be shipped or delivered, so the farm stand is the only place to get one. Orders are taken by phone, with no prepayment.
Hoshyla Farms in Manorville is about 25 minutes southwest by way of Route 25 and the Long Island Expressway, and Lavender By The Bay's East Marion field is about 40 minutes east along the North Fork, so a pie stop fits easily into a summer lavender day.
