About Daisy Hill Bed and Breakfast

Daisy Hill is a restored 1880s farmhouse in Loyalist Township, about 10 minutes west of Kingston and close to Highway 401 at exit 599. It has hosted guests since 2012. The house sits on a landscaped acre that runs down to the Millhaven Creek Conservation Area, and guests have spotted a beaver dam, otters and swans from the yard. The creek is for watching wildlife, not swimming.

There are three rooms. The Daisy Suite has two queen beds, a propane fireplace and an en-suite with a river view, rainfall shower and freestanding soaker tub. The River Suite has a king bed and an en-suite with a jetted tub and corner shower. The Rose Room has a queen bed and a private bathroom across the hall with a clawfoot tub. Posted rates are $150 for the Daisy Suite and Rose Room and $170 for the River Suite, for two people plus HST, with $10 off per night from December 15 to March 15.

Breakfast is a self-serve spread in the dining room from 7 to 10 a.m.: muffins, bagels, croissants, yogurt, fruit, cereal and hot oatmeal, plus a stocked fridge with eggs and bacon so you can cook an omelet. On fine mornings you can eat on the covered back porch. Families get cribs or cots on request and a play structure on the grounds, and dogs are welcome for $40 per stay. Wedding parties of up to eight can take all three rooms.
