About Green Isaac's Coffee & Tea

Green Isaac's Coffee & Tea is a café on Hancock Street in the center of Pentwater's village. Unlike many lakeshore shops, it stays open all year, which makes it a dependable morning stop in the shoulder seasons.

The coffee is roasted in Michigan, and the tea list is long. The cooler holds hand-crafted and vintage-style sodas, and the bakery side covers breakfast burritos, muffins and croissants, with sandwiches and salads on the menu as well. The shop aims to be a comfortable place for visitors and locals alike to sit for a while.

It is an easy walk from the rest of downtown Pentwater's shops, so it works as the first stop of a walking morning before heading to the beach at Charles Mears State Park.

Cherry Point Farm & Market near Shelby is about 25 minutes south. Coffee here and then a walk through Cherry Point's lavender-edged labyrinth and herb garden makes an easy summer morning on the lakeshore.

What to do

  • Order Michigan-roasted coffee or pick from the large tea list
