About Mock Red Hill
The Mock family has farmed apples on this Red Hill property for five generations, and the orchard has been certified biodynamic since 1974. The family began making its own products in the early 1990s, and today the range runs from craft ciders and juices to a house-spiced cider, apple cider vinegar with the mother and freeze-dried fruit. The 2026 cider vintage, released in June, comes in three styles: Royal, Pear and Classic.
The farm-gate store sits among apple trees more than 50 years old and sells the orchard's produce and apple products. The Farmgate and Cider Lounge is open Thursday to Monday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and every day during school holidays and in December and January. Visitors can also walk through the orchard.
The cider lounge is in a converted cool store built in 1945 beside the road. In winter there is hot mulled cider by a wood-fire heater; in summer the vine-covered courtyard, where dogs are welcome, serves apple-themed drinks. House-made apple pie is a fixture. The family-friendly Orchard Spring Carnival runs on Sunday, November 1, 2026, from noon to 5 p.m., with tastings, lawn games, pony rides, face painting, apple pies and pizza, and the orchard is a stop during the VineHop festival on November 21, 2026.
Red Hill Lavender is about five minutes away in Main Ridge, so the orchard is an easy add-on to a lavender visit.
