About Serene Lavender Farm
Serene Lavender Farm is a family-owned lavender farm on Emerald Lane in Sykesville, in southern Carroll County. The family's stated goals are to make quality lavender goods, run the farm responsibly and teach people about the plant and how it can be grown sustainably.
Most people meet the farm through its products. It makes culinary, personal care and decor items by hand, including jams and preserves and fresh and dried lavender bouquets, and sells them at seasonal farmers markets, craft shows, gift shops, special events and online. Customer pickup at the farm is also offered.
The farm opens to visitors for special days rather than regular hours. In 2026 it held an Open House and U-Pick on Saturday, June 13, from 10 am to 4 pm, with children 12 and under free alongside a paid adult ticket. The state's farm directory also lists pick-your-own and educational visits and school tours, so groups interested in learning about lavender can ask the farm about a visit.
Sykesville's small downtown is only a few minutes away, which makes it easy to follow a June u-pick morning with lunch in town.
