About Twisted Lemon Restaurant & Boutique Inn

Twisted Lemon is a dinner restaurant on Norton Street in Cayuga, in Haldimand County about 30 minutes south of Hamilton. The kitchen draws on global flavors but cooks with what is close by: vegetables, herbs and edible flowers grow in a garden about 30 steps from the back door and are harvested daily. In 2023 it was named best small to medium-sized business of the year by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada, and in 2024 it received an innovator award from the regional tourism board.

Beyond the regular menu, Wednesdays bring a Taste of Twisted Lemon menu, and once a month the kitchen serves Indulge & Discover, a blind menu that can't be changed for allergies. There is also a Chef's Table experience and a house line of cocktails. Most dishes are made from scratch, there are always vegan and vegetarian choices, and while there is no kids' menu, staff will put together something for children.

Upstairs, three guest rooms make it possible to dine and stay. Posted rates in 2026 ran from $150 plus HST for the Munsee Room (queen bed) to $225 for the Norton Room and $325 for the Grand Room, with a king bed, fireplace, kitchenette and soaker tub. Dine & Stay packages add a $100 dining credit, and a grab-and-go breakfast can be brought to your room.

Purple Haven Lavender Farm near Canfield is about 7 miles away, roughly 15 minutes, so you can spend a summer afternoon in the lavender and finish with dinner here.
