About Between the Vines Lavender Estate
Between the Vines Lavender Estate is a working farm on Weirs Lane, in the countryside west of Dundas in Hamilton. Alongside its lavender fields and seasonal plantings, the estate has a young vineyard and orchard, honeybees working the rows, Highland cows, Southdown Babydoll sheep and heritage chickens. The estate notes that every visit looks a little different, depending on the season and the farm work under way.
In 2026 the estate opened on Mother's Day weekend, then ran weekends from May 9 to June 21, Wednesday to Sunday through the summer until early September, and weekends again until September 20, always from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It also opens on long weekends and for Canada Day. Visits are booked online, listed at $10 per person in 2026, and include a tour at the top of each hour, the gardens, lavender fields, animals and walking areas. Tickets can be rescheduled up to 72 hours ahead but are not refundable.
The estate shop can be browsed without a ticket. Families are welcome, and children must stay with an adult. Animals can only be fed or handled during supervised activities, and visitors may not cut lavender or flowers except in an organized activity. Outside food and drinks are not allowed, though water bottles are fine. Professional photographers need to book ahead.
Hanes Farmland and Corn Maze, also in Dundas, is about 10 minutes away for a fall farm outing.
