About Purple Blossom Lavender Farm
Purple Blossom Lavender Farm is a small family farm on Clyde Road in Cambridge, started in 2023. It has more than 15,000 lavender plants, mostly English varieties such as Royal Velvet, Folgate, Melissa, Melissa Lilac, Super Blue, Big Time Blue and Hidcote, plus French lavender, and a field of over 50,000 sunflowers.
The English lavender starts flowering in late June, peaks in early to mid-July and lasts through late July. The French lavender opens in early July, is in full bloom by mid-July and runs into early August. Sunflowers take over from late July through mid-August. In season the farm is open every day, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Tuesdays to 7 p.m.). The farm has closed for 2026 and plans to reopen in June 2027.
Entry is by ticket, and because parking is limited and visits run in time slots, booking ahead is strongly advised. Once in, you can pick lavender and sunflowers, bring a picnic to the fields, join a yoga or Pilates class among the rows, or book a photo session. The shop sells lavender essentials, body care and home goods. The farm stays open in any weather, and tickets are non-refundable.
