About Kelso Lavender
Kelso Lavender is a family farm on Appleby Line in Milton, set on the rolling hills of the Niagara Escarpment. Established in 2017, it now grows more than 25,000 lavender plants without herbicides or pesticides. Several types of lavender bloom at different times, so color runs from the end of June to the middle of August, with the peak in July. Sunflowers open from the last week of July.
The farm opens for a short summer season, rain or shine, from about June 20 to August 10. Tickets are bought online ahead of time to guarantee a spot. Each ticket covers parking and entry for up to two hours and ends once you drive out of the lot. The farm has closed for 2026 and plans to reopen in June 2027; the online store stays open year-round for pickup orders.
A lavender treat shop on the farm sells lavender sourdough, pastries, lemonade and lattes. Bring a blanket to sit in the fields, but outside food is not allowed. The farm shop carries soaps and lotions, honey and sweets, essential oil, sprays, candles, buds, bundles, sachets and eye pillows. Bus tours are taken on weekdays only by arranging ahead by email.
Chudleigh's Apple Farm is about 10 minutes away on the other side of Milton, for apple season after the lavender has finished.
