About Chudleigh's
Chudleigh's is a three-generation family apple farm on Regional Road 25 just north of Milton. It grew from the family orchard into a full farm outing, and on a day ticket you get the orchard, a children's play area and the market, plus farm animals, a nature trail and a fire pit.
Early apples are ready in mid-to-late August, and the main picking season is September and October. At the information booth you can taste the varieties that are ripe before you head into the rows, and you only pay for the apples you keep. Once the trees are picked out, as they were by mid-October 2026, the farm sells bagged apples picked from the tops of the trees, and pumpkin picking takes over.
Food is a big part of the visit. The farm has The Windmill Restaurant, The Silo Bar and The Market & Ice Box, and only food bought on site can be eaten there, except at the picnic area by the pond north of the entrance drive, where you can bring your own lunch. In summer the farm hosts music nights, and it books school trips, celebrations and corporate groups. In town, the farm's Blossom Café on Main Street in Milton can be visited without a ticket.
Kelso Lavender is about 8 km to the southwest near Milton, roughly 15 minutes away, so a late-summer day can include early apples here and the lavender and sunflower fields there.
