About Hockley Valley Resort
Hockley Valley Resort sits in the hills of the Hockley Valley in Mono, northeast of Orangeville, and runs as a year-round resort. In winter it operates its own ski and snowboard hill with 16 named trails and a magic carpet for beginners; in summer the same slopes and woods carry 10.5 km of mountain bike trails. There's also a championship golf course, a spa, hotel suites and cabins, and meeting and wedding spaces.
You don't have to stay the night to use it. Lift tickets are sold to the public; posted prices included a full day (9 am to 5 pm) at $75 and a night ticket at $50, plus HST, with a first-timer package of a lift ticket, rentals and a one-hour lesson for $150. Early-bird pricing on 2027 season passes ended October 18, 2026, and opening dates depend on snow. Overnight guests ride the bike trails free, and rental bikes are available.
For food, Babbo Wine Bar & Patio is open daily from 11 am with a farm-to-table menu, seasonal cocktails and rotating local craft beer, and the Cabin dining room serves dinner Wednesday to Sunday, 5:30 to 9 pm, on its fall 2026 menu; reservations are taken online. The resort also hosts seasonal events, such as a Halloween murder mystery dinner dance in late October.
Avalon Lavender Farm, also in Mono, is about 6 km away, roughly a 10-minute drive, so the resort makes a comfortable base or dinner stop for a lavender visit in July.
