About Lavender Valley Farm
Lavender Valley Farm is a family farm owned by Jason and Lisa Whibley on 6th Line, between the village of Cookstown and the town of Alliston. About three acres of the 25-acre property are planted with more than 4,000 lavender plants, grown with sustainable practices. The farm makes small-batch lavender bath, beauty, home and culinary products on site from its own harvest, and sells them in a boutique store of about 600 square feet along with lavender sweets.
The farm is open from June to September. In 2026 it opened the weekend of June 13 and welcomed visitors Thursday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission in July 2026 was $10 per person plus HST, entry was free in June and September, and children 12 and under were always free. The fields look their deepest purple from late June to late July; early varieties start in mid-June and some plants rebloom in late August or September.
Families can bring their own lunch to the picnic tables and shaded pergola, which are first come, first served, and play cornhole, bocce or table games on the lawn. Groups of 12 or more and bus tours must book ahead. In the evenings the farm hosts private events, small weddings and paint-and-sip nights.
Murphy's Farm Market and Bakery near Alliston is about 10 minutes west for berries in summer and its fall festival.
