About Drysdale's Tree Farm
Drysdale's is a fourth-generation tree farm in Egbert, about an hour north of Toronto. Beyond its fields of Christmas trees, the farm runs a large holiday and homewares store, the Evergreen Store, plus a wedding venue, a landscaping business and two seasonal villages that draw families from across the region.
Each October weekend the Halloween & Harvest Village takes over. In 2026 it opened October 3 and runs until Halloween, with daytime hours on Saturdays, Sundays and Thanksgiving Monday from 10 am to 4:30 pm. Daytime visits include an all-ages haunted wagon ride, a children's zip line, train rides, a sand mountain, an obstacle course, a pickpocket magician and a bonfire for roasting marshmallows. On Saturday nights from 7 to 10 pm, a scarier version of the wagon ride runs through the forest, recommended for ages 12 and up.
Once November arrives, the farm shifts to Christmas with fresh-cut trees and wreaths and a weekend Holiday Village with Santa, a magician, live music and face painting; the farm describes the Christmas festivities as complimentary for guests. Food and drinks are sold on site during the Halloween village, cash only, and marshmallows are offered for a small donation to a children's charity.
Lavender Valley Farm in Cookstown is about 20 minutes away for a summer visit.
