About Murphy's Farm Market & Bakery

Murphy's Farm Market & Bakery is a fifth-generation family farm on County Road 10 outside Alliston, open to visitors year-round. The draw is the bakery, where everything is made from scratch and bread comes out of the oven daily: rustic white and whole wheat every day, oat molasses on Fridays and cheddar cheese bread on Saturdays. The market also carries farm produce and Ontario fruit in season.

Pick-your-own here means blueberries, flowers and pumpkins; the farm stopped growing strawberries in 2021, so don't plan a strawberry trip. The big season is the Fall Festival, which in 2026 runs September 26 to October 31, Wednesday to Sunday plus holiday Mondays, 9 am to 5 pm with last entry at 3:30. A wagon takes you to the pumpkin patch, and there is a corn maze and a farm yard play area with a bouncy pillow for kids.

Festival tickets were $5 plus HST in 2026 (children under 2 free), must be bought in advance, and can be used any day of the festival. Weekday wagons run at 11 am and 2:30 pm, with more rides on weekends, and you can walk to the patch and maze if you miss one. Around Thanksgiving the bakery takes pre-orders, and the farm also hosts weddings and private events.

Lavender Valley Farm near Cookstown is about 8 miles east, roughly 15 minutes away, so you can pair a summer lavender visit with fresh bread and a stop at the market on the way home.
