About Elora Distilling Company

Elora Distilling Company was built from the ground up on a property in downtown Elora by a small group of local partners, a project that took about four years before it opened its doors. The distillery makes gins, vodkas, whiskeys, rums and liqueurs, grows some of its own botanicals, and works with local grains and ingredients. It also makes pre-mixed cans and non-alcoholic options.

The retail shop is open daily, and upstairs the Royal Room cocktail lounge, styled after Hollywood in the 1920s, opens Thursday through Sunday with a seasonal food menu for lunch or dinner. Guided tours run Saturdays at 3:30 pm: a cocktail by the stills, a look at how the spirits are made and a guided tasting, for $30 per person plus tax in 2026. Guests must be 19 or older, and private tours can be booked.

The calendar adds comedy nights, live music and a home liqueur blending competition, and the lounges can be rented for private events. It sits in the village center, close to Elora's shops and restaurants.

Tullamore Lavender Co. near Arthur is about 25 minutes northwest. Visit the lavender field in the afternoon in late July, then return for a seat in the Royal Room.
