About Strom's Farm & Bakery
Strom's Farm & Bakery has been run by the same family since 1978, now in its third generation, on Wellington Road 32 just outside Guelph. It is a fall farm first: every season the family grows more than 10,000 pumpkins, from classic carvers to Flat White Boer, Jarrahdale and Bisbee Gold, and cuts a 5-acre corn maze with more than 5 km of paths. Part of maze admission has gone to local charities since 2005; in 2026 it supports the St. Joseph's Health Centre Foundation in Guelph.
The 2026 season runs September 18 to October 31. On weekends and Thanksgiving Monday the Harvest Fun Area adds wagon rides, pumpkin chucking, a science show and food trucks to the tile maze, straw maze, pedal carts, low ropes course and bubble barn. Night Maze evenings with fire pits and live music run October 17, 21–24 and 28–30, from 6 to 9:30 pm.
The bakery bakes from scratch with Ontario butter and no corn syrup. Its flower-shaped butter tarts come out of the oven all day, and haskap berries grown here show up in tarts, crisps, pies and jam; cinnamon buns are a Friday thing. You don't need admission to shop the bakery or buy pumpkins.
Tullamore Lavender Co. near Arthur is about 35 minutes north, a summer trip that pairs well with Strom's early-fall haskap season.
