About Hanes Farmland & Corn Maze

The Hanes family has farmed this land on Highway 5 since 1849, eight generations in all. It started with Kevin's roadside sweet corn stand; his mother added pies, and the stand grew into the Tiny Shop Bakery, which now anchors a fall corn maze and a farm play area.

The corn maze covers about 20 acres and takes one to two hours. You get a map, a pen and a clipboard, and the newer section needs a charged phone. In fall 2026 the maze is open Monday to Saturday 9:30 am to 8 pm and Sunday until 5 pm, with closing day set by the weather. The Farmland area, included with a maze ticket, has animals to feed from coin dispensers, swings, a sandbox, play structures and pedal karts. A sunflower maze runs in late summer, and there is a mini maze for small kids.

The pie shop is open all year and bakes 15 kinds of pie, from sour cherry and elderberry to peach crumble caramel and strawberry rhubarb. Butter, maple and coconut tarts, scones, squares, cookies, ice cream and milkshakes round it out, and you can call ahead to preorder. A food truck serves maze visitors on weekends. Groups of 15 or more should book by email at least 48 hours ahead.

Between the Vines Lavender Estate, also in Dundas, is about 10 minutes away.
