About Wood Acres Farm & Flowers

Wood Acres Farm & Flowers is a family-run farm in Woodburn, in the countryside north of Edwardsville. The land has been in the family for generations and once grew row crops and cattle; in 2021 the family turned part of it into a flower field and a place for workshops, camps and small events, as a way to keep the land in the family.

U-pick happens over a few late-summer weekends. In 2026 it ran August 14 through September 6, with evening hours on Fridays (5 to 8), morning and evening sessions on Saturdays and Sunday mornings (8 to 11). Picking is self-guided, supplies are provided, and you can bring your own vase or jar. Buying a bouquet covers field entry for your immediate family; non-pickers age 3 and up pay $5. Private U-pick times can be booked for birthdays, showers, girls' nights and team outings.

The farm's Highland calves are the other draw. Cow Cuddles sessions let a small group brush and photograph the calves for about 30 minutes, at $40 for up to three guests (as posted October 2026), with larger group and class options. The fall calendar adds evening workshops, such as a dried-flower pumpkin bar on October 9, 2026, and a tulip bulb open house October 23–24. Summer kids camps, bloom bars and photography sessions round out the year.

Tenderloin Farms Lavender in Edwardsville is about 11 miles south, roughly a 20-minute drive, and its lavender season in June comes before the flower field here opens.
