About Bonnell's Blueberries
Bonnell's Blueberries is a family blueberry patch in the farmland of Starke County, about two and a half miles north of Highway 10 on 750 West, west of North Judson. It is a simple, no-frills picking farm: you bring your own containers, pick, and pay.
The season usually runs from mid-July to mid-August, and during that stretch the patch opens seven days a week from 7 am to 6 pm Central time. Prices held steady in 2026 at the 2025 rates: $2.00 a pound for berries you pick yourself and $3.25 a pound for berries already picked. The farm closed for the 2026 season on August 15 and is getting ready for 2027.
Payment is cash or check only. Updates on opening day and picking conditions go out on the farm's website and social pages each summer.
Pretty Lake Farms, a lavender grower near Plymouth, is about 35 to 40 minutes east; ask that farm about visiting days before planning both in one trip. Lakeside Lavender and Herbs near La Porte is a similar drive to the north.
