About Glenn Star Farm

Glenn Star Farm is a 58-acre blueberry farm on Blue Star Highway near Glenn, between Saugatuck and South Haven, on land that was once Earl's Berry Farm and later the site of the old Waypost Brewery. About 20 acres are planted in blueberries. The farm is working toward organic certification season by season; it already avoids synthetic pesticides and builds its soil with cover crops and compost.

U-pick opened on July 9 in 2026 and runs through blueberry season, typically July and August, Thursday through Sunday from 10 to 5. Staff hand out containers, point you toward the ripest rows, and weigh and ring you up at the stand. The farm suggests coming in the morning, when the berries are cool and the breeze off Lake Michigan reaches the field. Pre-picked berries can be ordered by contacting the farm.

The grounds include ponds, a picnic area and modern restrooms, and the rows are easy to walk. Parking is at the top of the hill. Groups should get in touch before coming. The farm has said more offerings are planned for future seasons. To get there, take exit 30 off I-196 and follow Blue Star Highway toward Ganges.

Summerhouse Lavender Farm is roughly 15 minutes north toward Saugatuck, so a July morning of blueberry picking can roll into an afternoon among the lavender in bloom.
